  2. Summer vacation is probably the happiest period in a student's life. In plains this lasts for about two months. These vacations generally commence from the second week of May every year. The purpose of the summer vacation is multifold.

One is relaxation. A student gets fatigued after the end of the annual examination. He needs rest to recoup health and vitality. The second purpose is to tide over the unbearable heat of the summer months. The third purpose is to provide a chance to a student to make up his deficiency in any particular subject. It also gives an opportunity to him to visit new places. Travelling is an experience and has with it educative value.

This summer I planned my programme in such a manner as to obtain maximum benefit. I took permission of my father to visit Kashmir along with my friend. Both of us got berths reserved in the Jammu Mail much in advance to avoid frustration. Reaching Jammu we got into a bus for Srinangar. We hired a shikara for our stay there. The climate was very bracing. We felt as if we were in heaven. We relaxed there fully. I was weak in English, so I had taken a learner book with me. I used to study grammar in my leisure time. I also learnt horse riding and skiing there. We used to have plenty of fruits after meals.

But the vacation was to end one day. So was the case of our short trip to Kashmir. Time rolled on and the day approached when we had to leave that valley of dreams. There was a great rush of passengers at Jammu. We contacted the station master who helped us in securing berths in the train. We reached Delhi early in the morning.

The short trip to Kashmir during the summer vacation was a happy experience for us and its memory is still green in our minds.

  3. A summer vacation is the happiest time in school life. It is the time to rejoice and rest with our family after a long and tired school routine. One more reason, I like summer vacations because of its specialty of fruits & vegetables available during this season including my favorite fruit Mango & Watermelon.
In this vacation I went to my hometown Bhubaneswar, to attend my sister’s marriage. This was the first time I attended a marriage. I was very excited. All of my cousins where there, and I stayed with my cousin brother. We all had lots of fun. There I also meet my Grandma. I was very happy to see her after 2 long years. Grandma cooked my favorite south India dishes.
I stayed there for 2 weeks, and on 17th of June we came back to Delhi. There I stayed for 1 day; I also went to Water Park with my brother.
And now after these long and tired vacations we went back to Chandigarh .On 19th of June we were back to our own house, and the next day which is 20th of June it was my birthday my mother and father gave me a phone as surprise. I was very happy that day then at evening we went to game zone and I had my dinner in the restaurant, this day was a very special day for me, and really enjoyed a lot.
At last I was very sad because only 10 days of the vacations were left but I wanted to enjoy these 10 days. So to make these few days special I read Hanuman Chalisa, I enjoyed reading it very much and decided to read it daily .In the last three days we had to go to Dharmshala, but the trip was been canceled because my mother was not feeling well, that time I was very sad, but as per the holy book “everything happens for good” and I used these days to share my summer experience with all my dear friends and respected teachers , and at last I would like to that I enjoyed my summer vacations a lot and now I am excited for the school.
    Thank You....

  4. Vacations are the time to rejuvenate and enjoy to the fullest..The best aspect of it is travelling to new places with new aims..I also visited Mussoorie,Dehradun and Haridwar..Visiting a Hill station with family is just amazing..The weather there was just scintillating..As soon as we were nearing the clouds,I felt more and more exciting..I felt like touching them..We clicked a lot of pictures from the weather of the hills to the monuments and Holy places like Shri Renuka Devi Ji Temple and Paonta Sahib so in the future we will have good memories We all were blessed for having such a pleasant time..Going away from a crowded and polluted city like Chandigarh to the Queen of Himalayas was just delightful. We also visited Kempty Falls..We ate some special and sumptous dishes of the respective places and relished it a lot..We also took a bath in the Holy river of Ganga and we had a very good time there..We roamed the Mall Road and saw its beauty...In the Lap of the Himalayas Mussoorie is a must visit place. We felt like home there and were not ready to come back from the luxuries of our trip..Coming back was not easy as we felt a little sad but the trip had to end so that I could get back in action and be ready for studies which is very important and good too..I also felt excited for my school, friends, and its fun filled activities..These holidays were a treat to have as I enjoyed to the fullest, Kudos to my parents..I think of coming back to academics quickly and being ready for an action packed year ahead...My 5 day trip was just awesome I THANK MY PARENTS FOR GIVING ME SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE...KUDOS AGAIN TO THEM..
